MWA Partners with Bibb County Schools for Stormwater Education

The MWA recently partnered with Bibb County Schools prior to the end of the school year for a fun initiative in stormwater education.
Students from Bibb County Schools – including Elementary, Middle, and High Schools – identified and painted storm drains on their respective campuses with anti-pollution messages from stencils provided by the MWA.
The painted messages remind Bibb County School administrators, teachers, students and their parents, of the importance of not dumping trash or debris into storm drains, to keep them clean and properly functioning to carry stormwater safely into the MWA stormwater drainage system.
A special thanks to all participating schools, which included: Alexander II, Bernd, Bruce, Burdell-Hunt, Carter, Elam Alexander at Burke, Hartley, Heard, Heritage, Ingram-Pye, John Lewis, Lane, Martin Luther King, Northwoods, Porter, Skyview, Southfield, Springdale, Taylor, Union, Veterans, Vineville, Williams, Appling, Ballard-Hudson, Howard Middle, Miller, Rutland Middle, Weaver, Central, Howard High, Northeast, Rutland High, Southwest, Westside, the SOAR Academy, and the VIP Academy.
